The Deck House of the DSe borrows heavily on the proven layout of her older sister, the Island Pilot 435 - The same style furniture using lush fabrics, over-stuffed seating areas and lots of glass. The high-low dining table is suitable for feeding the entire crew or lowers to a stylish coffee table. The added space of the DSe allows us to add a full-length settee opposite the L-shaped one (which converts to an extra-long double berth for extra guests).

A pocket door separates the Deck House from the on-deck Master forward - plus, there’s an opening panel to starboard to open up the space during the day.

Looking aft to port - stairs lead up to the bridge. A frosted Plexi sliding door pockets out of the way. Outboard of these stairs is the entertainment center complete with 26” LCD HDTV and Bose 3.2.1. home theater - the standard KVH satellite dish provides TV and music to the system and is hooked also to the TVs in the master and in the guest. Just forward of the TV cabinet are the stairs leading down into the port hull. The port side settee is perfect for social soirees and the afternoon naps.

The aft starboard corner is dedicated to a gourmet galley with the latest flush-mounted INDUCTION cook top - these “burners” use magnetic energy to heat ONLY the cookware - the “burner” never heats up! Over the counter is a GE Profile Advantium oven (microwave, speed cook & a “normal” oven). The Island Pilot “signature” refrigerator finishes off the list of appliances - this very special unit has a single refrigerator door on top, a crisper drawer, ice drawer, fast-freeze drawer and deep freezer drawer. Using an average of only 35 watts, this is the most efficient refrigerator/freezer being used in any yacht in the U.S.

Looking forward, one cannot help but notice how open, airy and inviting the interior of the DSe is - Vistas give out on all sides to the surrounding waters. Most likely the cruising couple will never close off the forward openings unless company is on board.
